Spray Dryers

Spray Dryer, , Bowen

Spray drying is the most widely used industrial process involving particle formation and drying. It is highly suited for the continuous production of dry solids in either powder, granulate or agglomerate form from liquid feedstocks as solutions, emulsions and pumpable suspensions. Therefore, spray drying is an ideal process where the end-product must comply to precise quality standards regarding particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density, and particle shape. With the experiences of the three leading spray drying companies (Niro, Bowen and Barr-Rosin) all linked together under the GEA Powder Technology Group, allows us to provide our customers the best possible spray dryer design.

Fluid Bed Dryers

Fluid Bed Dryer,

Fluid bed processing offers important advantages over other methods of drying particulate materials. Particle fluidization gives easy material transport, high rates of heat exchange at high thermal efficiency while preventing overheating of individual particles. Application include drying, cooling, agglomerating, granulating and dedusting.

Flash Dryers, Ring Dryers, and Swirl Fluidizers

Flash Dryer,

With short residence times for surface moisture removal and a low attrition configuration for fragile products, our flash dryers, ring dryers and swirl fluidizers are ideal for processing both water and solvent wet cake feeds. Extremely important to the successful operation of any drying system is the feed system. We offers a wide variety of feed systems for different applications based upon significant experience in designing commercial installations.

Paddle Dryers

Paddle Dryer

The Rosinaire is well suited for the drying of toxic substances and for the evaporation of solvents. They have also been used for heating, calcining and cooling. The material is maintained in an agitated state inside the vessel by a horizontal rotating shaft fitted with adjustable paddles which maintain the product in contact with the internal surface of the casting.

Dewatering/Drying System

Dewatering/Drying System

The J-VAP dewatering/Drying System marries a specially designed diaphragm plate filter press with a patented vacuum/evaporation technology. The result is a single step process that can achieve totally dry products. This is an ideal de-watering system due to the ability to produce high solids from different feed streams to selectable dryness levels.
